Ran this system on a winter Bull Tahr hunt in New Zealand. Primarily used the hydration reservoir and inline filter. Easy to dip in the river, pressurize, and drink clean water on the go. The mini bottle is a must as well. I put all my electrolyte mixes in it so I could keep the reservoir clean and the pressurized feature of the reservoir makes the mini bottle easy to refill. Great company and great products! Looking forward to running it for archery elk and rifle deer in Montana.
The release of the drifter hydration system caught me at a moment of weakness before I tried to gorilla tape the seal of my CamelBak bladder, which I stressed from holding it by the lid frame to keep it at the perfect angle to fill the saggy bladder to the rim. But after using the Drifter system for a week in the heat of Oregon archery elk, I’m a little perturbed they didn’t invent this 15 years ago. I actually love that the rigid container takes up the same space whether it’s full or empty. The insulated hose is solid and the magnetic hose holder is clutch. I was a little intimidated by the filtration options but it was easier than I thought. You can run the filter inside the container and just fill with dirty water or run it as a gravity filter with the accessory bag. With a built-in gravity filter, I honestly think their price point is a little low. I only have one critique - they promised me I would kill more elk with their hydration system and I’m super hydrated, but still hungry
The Complete Drifter Lite Hydration System is GREAT! I had just a few days to pivot from my historic bladder/Steripen system to this before my CO elk hunt and the Drifter team came through in the clutch. Within 2 days I was rigged in ready to roll. I could not have been more pleased, the room taken in my pack was essentially the exact same as a full bladder, my concern of 'sloshing' sound was squashed immediately, and most of all the ease of use to back fill the reservoir with a fully loaded pack was amazing! I called it my packs IV, hook up the hydration bag and let it flow, LOVE IT! No more 'yard sales' on the side of the mountain just to refill my bladder. Also no batteries (+ extra batteries) as needed for my Steripen in the back country so I came out ahead in weight comparison. While my hunting buddy and I were 200 yards & 700' above a bugling elk, he quickly ordered him one on their easy to use site after watching mine in use. Proof is in the pudding.. Thanks Drifter Team!
I just received my new Drifter Hydration system. Looking it over I see that the attention to detail and quality looks great. It looks like they have put a lot of thought into the whole package. The pressurized system is a game changer. With the uncertainty of water quality in the outdoors, it leaves me wondering why it took so long for someone to bring something like this to the marketplace. I can see so many different outdoor activities that it can be used for from hiking, backpacking, hunting, camping, fishing, rafting, etc. The company has also done a nice job putting together all the “how to” videos with the different usage configurations and options. I look forward to putting it to use. I'm sure that it won't disappoint
Just purchased this system for a 4 day rafting/ camping trip. What attracted me to this product was being able to filter water on the go without having to unpack my whole gear pack. Being able to have access to clean water while out on the river is gonna make this trip a very stress free time! After loading up the system I am impressed with how light it is and how easy it was to adjust the hoses to fit my pack. I am loaded up and ready to hit the water- thanks Drifter!!
